Hi there, welcome to my world!
It's 2010 and we're off to a fantastic start already. This year is going to herald a new way of thinking globally as we enter fully into a civic age of community and togetherness. This was brought to my attention last October during the Engage Today conference and if you want to know more about the difference between idealist and civic social ages, read the book Generations by William Strauss.
There are some incredible insights in this book that has long term ramifications if you understand it's implications.
So what's on the agenda? Well the start of the year is when everyone should sit down and plan what they year will be like for them. If you don't do planning, you'll never achieve the things you want in your life. Sometimes people say well isn't that not living in the moment?
Well you could say people like The Rolling Stones live life in the moment, life like stars, but that doesn't mean they don't plan! If you went to a concert, you'll know, their tour dates are printed out for the next 18 months, so you know where they'll be and when!
If they need to plan, so do you! Planning is essential to success. In a couple of weeks I'll also be speaking to the business school at UCL about starting up in business, so this is a new and exciting opportunity for me to tryout some speaking!
In the meantime, enjoy your life and look forward to updating you again soon!
