This is the last day of the Engage Today 2009 conference and what a spectacular event this has been. I applaud Simple Wealth on running such an incredible event with a speaker line up that was simply superstar quality.
You get a funny mixture of feelings after a great event like this, something inside stirs up emotions of relief, sorrow and excitement all in one. Relief that the long days and concentration is over, sorrow at leaving new friends made, and excitement about the future and applying the knowledge into action.
The last day was full of surprises, just when I thought there would be no more real information to be learnt, I am stunned once more with excellent presentations from Michael Drew and Vishen Lakhiani. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the synchronised singing and dancing to Bohemian Rhapsody for a long time.

Ok so the last day of the seminar was yesterday and really there’s been a lot of learning and a lot of opportunities. Walking away from this I’ve setup 2 new business ventures and now I’ve got a list of over 25 action points which will all only serve to grow my existing business and create new revenue streams that I otherwise wouldn’t have been aware of.
I’d like to touch on a couple of things which really stood out for me from this event. These few pointers are things that for anyone who is even vaguely interested in living a life of their dreams, must understand at a foundation level in order to move forward.
Every speaker at this event had good positive energy. Their attitudes were all about can do, what is possible and what can be achieved when you think hard enough about it, and take some sort of action.

Did you ever stop to wonder what makes life so seemingly chaotic sometimes? Perhaps you did, but did you also realise that perhaps the events that occur in your life aren’t so random. What might seem random to you; might be an ordered pattern of choices that have happened over a period of time, in other people’s realities, that suddenly coincide with your reality.Ok, bear with me on this one. So what I’m saying is that nothing is random. Imagine walking down the street one day, and you bump into that guy who you end up dating and even marrying. That chance encounter lead to a whole new life, a whole generation of things to come and happen, but was it random? You may well think so, but consider this hypothetical situation; That day, you had been thinking all along about making some changes, and as a result, when you picked up that call from your best friend, you mentioned these new ideas. Your friend then starts chatting about it and how you should read a certain personal development book, because her friend had recommended it. As a result of tapping into this common interest topic, you talk for 10 minutes long than you normally would, causing you to miss your usual train home. So you end up taking the next train home. On the way you stop by the book store to buy that recommended book, and seeing as the bookstore is right next to the supermarket, you also decide to pick up some bread for the next day. With you bread in hand and the new book, you rush home excited to get reading, and that’s when you bump into that guy, literally, bread and book get flung onto the ground.

We’ve all heard and probably used that saying "actions speak louder than words" but what does it really mean to you? There have been many other quotes over time about the power of action, one that springs to mind is Benjamin Franklins quote; “Well done is better than well said”. What kind of actions and when should I act? Does it really make a difference if I act now or if I act later? What about the consequences of my actions? I’m sure these are all thoughts that have often hindered us into inaction. When you look at the way people communicate with each other, and you imagine that over hundreds of thousands of years, there was hardly any verbal communication, you can probably agree with me that body language is an extremely important part of our communications with other people.
