I just wanted to write this as I am sitting in Hong Kong airport thinking back to all the events that have transpired over the past 4 weeks and it’s been an incredible journey.
I’ve had experiences which can only be described as life changing and challenges that I thought would stretch me, which they did, but in a way that allowed me to grow and expand as well.
Some of my favourite experiences include shooting downtown in New York City, the Billionaire Bootcamp day 6 party on the beach, shooting with the amazing team Aleesha put together in Los Angeles, an unforgettable night of mayhem orchestrated by mr Kam in Toronto, the intensity and charm of a Tokyo diner Shabu Shabu, an evening with new friends, old friends and family in Hong Kong.
The sun is setting outside and the temperature is finally coming down. Of all the places I’ve been, Hong Kong’s mass transit system is by far the most efficient and effective I have seen anywhere in the world. Just thought I’d mention it.Read the rest of this entry »

Well it's day 3 of this pretty intesive training and it's going very well here in the beautiful island of Fiji.
What a wonderful lovely place it is and the Fijian people here are so nice it's totally unreal. They really are the friendliest people I think I've ever met.
Not dogged by the negativity of big city life, they lead amazingly fulfilled lives and spread joy litereally everywhere all the time. You gotta love them for it.
The training has been pretty tough so far and I can say that this probably isn't even the deep deep tough stuff yet. I think we are still just getting started.

This is the last day of the Engage Today 2009 conference and what a spectacular event this has been. I applaud Simple Wealth on running such an incredible event with a speaker line up that was simply superstar quality.
You get a funny mixture of feelings after a great event like this, something inside stirs up emotions of relief, sorrow and excitement all in one. Relief that the long days and concentration is over, sorrow at leaving new friends made, and excitement about the future and applying the knowledge into action.
The last day was full of surprises, just when I thought there would be no more real information to be learnt, I am stunned once more with excellent presentations from Michael Drew and Vishen Lakhiani. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the synchronised singing and dancing to Bohemian Rhapsody for a long time.

The day kicked off with Brendon Burchard giving a whirling and energetic talk about motivation and getting partnerships to work. His speciality is certainly in the field of creating partner models which created synergies between businesses. He uses the analogy to equate building a train track to building your business from scratch, and instead you should consider tacking onto a fast oncoming train because they have already done all the hard work in laying the tracks.
There was a lot to learn from this talk. It was really evident that the power of partnerships is in choosing the right partners and getting the causes aligned. Having partners provides many benefits from getting you featured on their websites, through to speaking invitations and more. When you look at the partnership model, it really makes sense to try to find strategic partners at all times.
The real highlight of the day though was about to happen, and for me it was an extra special moment as the host, Greg Habstritt announced that he would not be interviewing Sir Richard Branson as he would not do a good a job as he could. So instead they had Eben Pagan interview him and this was by far one of the best surprises yet. After a fantastic music video intro to Virgin and it’s background, it was time to welcome to the stage the Virgin man himself, Sir Richard Branson.

The last 2 days have been an incredible experience. Far from the norm, I’m here in a cold cold Calgary, with a person who warms the hearts of millions of people all over the world, His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Before I talk about his talk, I’ll recap what’s been going on here at Engage Today 2009 and perhaps in my word you might be able to find even more meanings that will help you come to some learnings yourself.
This event has been put together by Simple Wealth, and its mission is to get the people of today, engaged in discussion to move forward changes in the world for greater positive causes. Each day has a theme and so far, day one was about accountability and today was about contribution.
To open the conference we had an inspirational speech from F.W deClerk, former president of South Africa and Nobel peace prize winner. Amidst the stories of his presidency came further understanding into how events which occurred help to shape his mind towards the positive change in South Africa, and how that in turn help shape the future of the country and it’s people today.Read the rest of this entry »

Ok so the last day of the seminar was yesterday and really there’s been a lot of learning and a lot of opportunities. Walking away from this I’ve setup 2 new business ventures and now I’ve got a list of over 25 action points which will all only serve to grow my existing business and create new revenue streams that I otherwise wouldn’t have been aware of.
I’d like to touch on a couple of things which really stood out for me from this event. These few pointers are things that for anyone who is even vaguely interested in living a life of their dreams, must understand at a foundation level in order to move forward.
Every speaker at this event had good positive energy. Their attitudes were all about can do, what is possible and what can be achieved when you think hard enough about it, and take some sort of action.

My mind is positively buzzing with new ideas after another day full of reminders and new insights into the world of online marketing. I’ve been in this business myself for a long time, yet there is so much more to learn. Wherever we may be in our lives, whatever we think we are good at, always remember that there is someone out there who knows more and that you should seek them out and learn from them
That’s how you get better, that’s how you become one of the best, and that’s how you create massive success for your own lives and empower yourself to create the dream life.
It’s such an important point to recognise that no matter how successful you are, always find yourself a mentor or coach, and let them keep you accountable for pursuing even more towards your ultimate fulfilment. I have 2 coaches and a mentor, and I can honestly say, they have helped me in ways beyond the money which they get paid for doing it.

So today I’ve been attending the Ultimate Marketing Seminar run by Think Big Education and endorsed by Chris Howard. It’s been a pretty good day so far and really inspiring again to hear from knowledgeable people speaking from the mind through to the techniques.
Listening to the speakers really gave me a good old refresher on some basic foundation marketing knowledge, and it also highlighted to me that we often time get so wrapped up in our work or lives, that sometimes we forgotten about some of the basic things which also need to be addressed.
One of the speakers at this event was Daniel Wagner, an internet entrepreneur, totally passionate about teaching people how to succeed in business online. It was both a refreshing and candid approach to presenting, at times, even tears were present as he recounted his story up to present day, with his children in the audience listening. This was his largest presenting gig to this date, and it was something he had put out into the universe as something he wanted to do, and today, he achieved it.

Today I launched a new site to put out my coaching services and allow people to see what I have to offer. This has been a new dream of mine to start helping other people with personal success, and this new site will enable people to get an idea of what I can help with. Personal success life coaching is a relatively new business in the UK, though it has been quite prevalent in the USA for quite some time. Perhaps one of the more popular and well known personalities in the industry is Anthony Robbins. You might have seen him do a little cameo in the Jack Black movie Shallow Hal. This new wave of life coaching in the UK has been widely welcomed, due to it’s effectiveness in pushing forward personal and corporate success. The new scientific knowledge of the mind which has been developed over the last 30-40 years has proven to be massively successful, with people all over the world from politicians to celebrities, all employing personal development coaches.
