What an intensive experience this has all been. I'm back home after an incredible journey of even more self discovery and even though I've been waking up the last 4 nights repeatedly, getting restless sleep and my energy is totally drained, I've been refilled by the sheer power of positivity from my fellow life students at the Chris Howard training programs.
Today was the last day of the intensive platform skills course and also the day of my official graduation from the Academy of Wealth and Achievement. What a journey it has been.
I remember when I first stepped foot into the IBIS hotel back in March 2009 that I had no idea what BTS was about. I was however prepared to leave all my preconceptions outside the door and go into this seminar with an open mind and an open heart.
What hit me was like a ton of bricks smashing down from a 100ft fall. It hit hard and smashed open many issues that were present in my life that I had either swept underneath the carpet, or I was even totally unaware of them myself.
What happened the next 3 days throughout the Breakthrough to Success weekend would change my life forever, and forever for the better.Read the rest of this entry »

I made a decision about a week ago that involved me taking a flight in approximately 9 months to go to the African continent to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I had previously considered doing this a few years back, however what held me back was simply the fact that I felt I wasn't fit enough to do it.
Today I realised that reason I gave myself was total bullshit. The real conversation my unconscious mind was having with my conscious mind, was something on the lines of, "it's a difficult hike to take, and I'm not prepared to put in the effort to train to get fit for it, because I do not value that time as well spent".
Wow, now I bet we all have these conversations all the time, however for a good part of the time, we'd rather not admit that to ourselves because it's much easier to believe that we aren't good enough.

My mind is positively buzzing with new ideas after another day full of reminders and new insights into the world of online marketing. I’ve been in this business myself for a long time, yet there is so much more to learn. Wherever we may be in our lives, whatever we think we are good at, always remember that there is someone out there who knows more and that you should seek them out and learn from them
That’s how you get better, that’s how you become one of the best, and that’s how you create massive success for your own lives and empower yourself to create the dream life.
It’s such an important point to recognise that no matter how successful you are, always find yourself a mentor or coach, and let them keep you accountable for pursuing even more towards your ultimate fulfilment. I have 2 coaches and a mentor, and I can honestly say, they have helped me in ways beyond the money which they get paid for doing it.

Everybody’s understanding of what is or isn’t real, is unique unto themselves. The way you might see an apple sitting on a table would be completely different to how I might see the same apple on the same table. Similarly the context of the statement must be placed in order to provide further meaning. The table could be in the middle of the desert or out on a spaceship orbiting Mars. The apple would look very different then. Of course the ultimate context is time, the same apple 100 years ago would be a gene structure in an atom on a apple tree somewhere and the same apple 100 years in the future would be dust, or a forest of apple trees. So what do I mean by perception of reality? Well it’s been scientifically shown that every second the human brain receives over 2 billion bits of data. This is everything you experience from the sounds you hear, things you see, food you eat, even down to the unconscious feelings you get whilst you sleep. If we were to store and process this amount of data, we’d go insane instantly. The way our brains manage this information is to filter out what our perceptual filters deem as unnecessary for us to know. In the end, we store and process only a tiny fraction of the data we actually receive. The question you might wonder about is how our filters are created? Well these are determined over time through our models of communication. They come from attitudes, beliefs, traditions, meta-programs, media, marketing, parental guidance etc. Read the rest of this entry »
