As I sit here writing this, my mind is flickering between all the things that have happened in the recent past and just wondering how much of all this contributes to my future and ultimately to my contribution to society and my family, not to mention my own personal fulfilment.
I've noticed that in life, everything I do and go for, I do it with extreme drive and I always go for number one, and this lead to me thinking about the significance of aiming high vs. aiming for just ok, or as in the title suggests, the Number 1 vs. Number 2 mentality.
So think about this for a second, are you a number 1 or a number 2?
I'm not saying that you have to be number 1, no, on the contrary. What I am saying, is that you are deadly honest with yourself and if you are a number 2, be the best number 2 you can be in your world and your reality.

I made a decision about a week ago that involved me taking a flight in approximately 9 months to go to the African continent to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I had previously considered doing this a few years back, however what held me back was simply the fact that I felt I wasn't fit enough to do it.
Today I realised that reason I gave myself was total bullshit. The real conversation my unconscious mind was having with my conscious mind, was something on the lines of, "it's a difficult hike to take, and I'm not prepared to put in the effort to train to get fit for it, because I do not value that time as well spent".
Wow, now I bet we all have these conversations all the time, however for a good part of the time, we'd rather not admit that to ourselves because it's much easier to believe that we aren't good enough.

What you say to your children is very important. I'm sure you know that already, but have you thought about the implications of the words you use?
The unconscious mind is an extremely powerful creative tool that will manifest all that it wants and needs, but if you input "bad data" into that unconscious mind, especially at early ages, you will invariably do more harm than good.
What do I really mean by this?
Well the classic example is that our minds will focus on things, and we get what we focus on.
In fact, if a single thought entered your mind, even if you didn't think it was relevant, it is.

Could life get more exciting for you? I’ve learnt two things recently which I wanted to share with you and this could help you get the inductive learnings which you might need to get. Did you wake up one day and realise the size of the hole you are digging for yourself? In life we get what we focus on the most and a lot of the time people concentrate so hard on the problem at hand, that they completely forget about the NOT problem. What does this mean? Well, when you focus on debt, you’ll get debt. What is the not problem to debt? Well it’s all the other ways, choices and options you have of creating wealth in order to counteract the debt, but the focus is so directed at debt, it would seem that nothing else could be done.As we progress in life, periodically we also get dragged down into the hole that other people have created. In fact we often all help each other dig the same hole even deeper. One day suddenly, one person finds a way to climb out of the hole, yet the others are always dragging that person back down again.
