Over 7 years of work in the IT business showed me that my destiny did not lie in this arena. It was really through chance that I ended up starting my own business, though I had always believed that this was where I'd eventually end up anyways.

My first, very rubbish attempt was when I tried to setup a ski touring company, aimed at providing bespoke ski trips for small groups. I had absolutely no experience in doing anything like this, and in hindsight, I realise that I had gone head first into this venture without really understanding the basics of market, supply and demand, and generally how to make it work.

Years later, in 2001 when I was unemployed and in need of inspiration for direction, I stumbled upon an interesting article about the rise of the online gambling industry. In particular at the time, the article concentrated on the rise of online casinos and it's massive growth potential.

This peaked my interest, and I formed a 2 year plan to embark on a journey to establish myself in this industry. First part of the plan was to make sure financial issues were resolved, so I got a job! In the next 3 years, I worked ridiculous hours to make this project work. Evenings and weekends were sacrificed, as well as certain parts of my personal life. Eventually, though I had planned to get out in 2 years, it took 3.5 years and I managed to succeed in my original ambition.

July 2004 was the turning point when my part time ambition became full time. It was clear that I had to take it to the next level when my flagship website (www.casinoman.net) made me more income than my job did. Thus, Lady Luck Media was setup as the parent company behind all my work.

Since then, I have successfully increased the revenues of Lady Luck Media Ltd by over 200%, taking on board website projects for clients, as well as continually improving and building up my gambling information portal network. I currently own and run over 30 websites now.

My latest developments have been in areas outside of the online gambling world as I begin diversifying my portfolio of working projects. I have now launched my first online dating venture as well as a side project to do with the Olympic Games on London 2012.
